What is BESS?

A BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) is an energy storage installation using batteries. It is integrated into solar, hybrid or standalone projects to store, manage and dispatch electricity according to grid or operational requirements.

Do you work only on full BESS projects or also on partial integration?

Solar NRJ supports both full BESS integrations and defined scopes within larger projects. We deliver electrical assembly, low- and medium-voltage connections, and coordination of inverters, containers and protection systems, fully integrated with existing project packages.

What electrical works do you perform on photovoltaic projects?

We carry out complete DC and AC electrical works, including DC string installation, cable routing, labelling and testing. We also install and connect inverters and manage LV/MV interfaces in line with project specifications and applicable standards.

Is Solar NRJ acting as an EPC contractor?

No. Solar NRJ is not an EPC contractor. We operate as a specialist in electrical assembly and BESS integration, supporting developers, EPCs and investors with a strong focus on on-site execution quality, compliance and interface risk reduction.

How do you ensure compliance and inspection readiness?

All installations are executed by Solar NRJ’s in-house qualified teams, under strict supervision and with complete technical documentation. Our works are delivered in accordance with applicable European standards, ensuring installations are inspection-ready, traceable and acceptable to control bodies and insurers.

Can you work on hybrid projects or operational sites?

Yes. We support both greenfield projects and existing operational sites, including hybrid installations combining solar power and BESS. Our teams are experienced in working in live environments, minimising downtime while ensuring safe and reliable electrical integration.
